In one of my first posts, “Finding THE Backpack”, I wrote about the struggles of finding a backpack that will suit your body type and size. I recently received a few emails from women needing further details and advice, mostly on the hip belt issue. Christy, a reader from California, was one of them. ►►►
Montreal recently held it’s very first plus-size fashion week under the name Montreal + Fashion Week (a.k.a. MTLplusFW) during the May 20-22 weekend. Though fashion is a topic I hardly mention on this blog, I have to command the very inclusive nature of the event, and not necessarily because I was a guest speaker at the event (click here to find out more about “Pack Small-Think Big!”), but because the event also explored not only plus-size fashion and different aspects of well-being for plus-size women. ►►►
Many retailers have decided to get on board and offer plus-size items in their collection. Great news. What is not so great, is that we get shown the same regular sized model with the regular sized clothing on. ►►►
