So I spent last weekend at the Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show, thanks to the organization who invited me to be an official blogger for the event! I had a GREAT time. From the numerous (over 200 !) exhibitors to the Paddlers’ Paradise pool, there was so much to see! Now I want to start all sorts of new activities and hike all over… ►►►
You probably already noticed that until mid-March, I had the “Official Blogger” badge of the National Women’s Show on the blog for a few weeks. The event took place last weekend (March 17-18-19, 2017) at the Palais des Congrès, downtown Montreal, and I was there, thanks to my friend Clorissa who tagged me in their Facebook post saying they were looking for bloggers to join their blogging team! ►►►
I discovered the brand Lost & Faune as I was Christmas shopping for myself, last December, at the Nutcracker Market, held yearly in Montreal. ►►►
Montreal recently held it’s very first plus-size fashion week under the name Montreal + Fashion Week (a.k.a. MTLplusFW) during the May 20-22 weekend. Though fashion is a topic I hardly mention on this blog, I have to command the very inclusive nature of the event, and not necessarily because I was a guest speaker at the event (click here to find out more about “Pack Small-Think Big!”), but because the event also explored not only plus-size fashion and different aspects of well-being for plus-size women. ►►►
Author, blogger and plus-size backpacker Edith Bernier will debut “Pack Small – Think Big!” at 11:30 am on Sunday, May 22 at the Crowley Arts Center, a featured presentation of the Montreal + Fashion Week. ►►►
I am glad to – finally! – announce that I will take part to the 2016 Montreal + Fashion Week, the first bilingual Plus Size Fashion Week in the province of Quebec! ►►►
The #MyMontreal series addresses different aspects of the city that are pertinent to travelers & plus-size people. It wouldn’t be complete without a post on the Ulysses Travel Bookstores. ►►►
I recently decided to have a look at Montreal’s plus-size friendliness… After exploring a few aspects in a previous post, I continue with a post mostly dedicated to Montreal’s clothing and fashion world… ►►►
I have been living in Montreal for over 15 years now. Since my arrival in 2000, a lot changed on the plus-size front, from the people’s tolerance to the availability of plus-size clothing… ►►►
